Drumfries Times – Halloween edition 2015 is going home with the pupils today. We hope you enjoy reading it as much we enjoyed putting it together. Happy Halloween!!

We are delighted to announce that the Parents Assoc and parents  have raised €251 in the Cash for Clobber collection.

A big thanks to Noleen Mc Daid for all her help today and the organisation of it.

Today Senior Coach, and vastly experienced player Michael Lowth came to our school along with Sean Noonan for a Basketball training session.

The children thoroughly enjoyed it.

Michael has recently moved to the area from Dublin and will be doing basketball coaching in Buncrana on Tuesday nights.

We have had a very successful year since introducing the new organic garden beds to our school.

We have just recently had a great crop of carrots from the beds and throughout the year we’ve grown cabbages, lettuce, spring onions and herbs.

We now intend to set garlic this week and winter onions.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed working in the garden and   tasting the foods that we have produced here.

Last week, a beautiful carrot and coriander soup was made and shared with everyone.
