Yesterday Mrs Walsh and the Senior Room took a trip to Carndonagh to the Recycling Centre. We all learned lots about how our waste is turned into reuseable materials, for example:
Paper is recycled into egg boxes.
Glass is melted down and used to make new bottles.
Plastics are used to make pipes.
Aluminium cans are melted down and used to make ingots that contain enough metal to make 1.5 million new drinks cans.
Hand tools are sent to Africa for reuse.
Drumfries Spring Clean will take place on Wednesday 9th April 2014. Anyone who would like to help out is to gather at the school @10am that morning.Areas to be covered and groups will be decided on the day.Lots of adult help required! Come along and help the children to Spring Clean Drumfries.
The updated Anti-Bullying Policy and Complaints Policy are now available under Policies and Procedures.
Also the consensus from the recent Uniform Survey carried out in February is that there will be NO CHANGE to the current uniform in Scoil Naomh Padraig, Drumfries.
The Green School’s Comittee meeting was held on Friday and from the meeting it was announced that  ‘Spring Clean Day’ take place on 9th April 2014. We would encourage the whole community to get involved in this and any other initiatives in which they would like to participate.
This week the Senior Room will be going on a trip to the Recycling facility in Carndonagh to learn more about “Reduce,Re-use, Recycle’.  They will receive a talk and get a tour of the facility to see how it works.

The Parents Association of Scoil Naomh IÏŒsaf are holding an Easter Camp at the Illies School on the above dates. Activities will include Clay Craft, Arts& Crafts, Fun games &Sports.
