Baby Franki has been to visit us today with his mum. He has grown alot since we saw him last. He has 4 teeth now, his hair is longer and we think he’s looking more like a little boy than a baby. He is learning how to make sounds and take turns to have a chat. He can pick up things with both hands now and he can sit alone.
He also enjoys standing with mums help. We learned that his favourite lullaby is ‘Twinkle, twinkle’, but he also enjoys listening to us say some other rhymes like ‘Incy wincy’, ’round and round the garden’ and ‘Baa baa black sheep’. We are already looking forward to seeing baby Franki again!
This year our school trips will take place on Friday 14th June 2013.
Junior and Senior Infants will go to Lurgybrack Farm, Letterkenny(http://lurgybrackopenfarm.town.ie/).
1st to 6th classes will go to the Old Courthouse in Lifford (http://liffordoldcourthouse.com/).
ALL children from infants to sixth class will then meet up in Arena 7 Entertainment Complex in Letterkenny(http://arena7.ie/).
Junior and senior infants will go to the âWayneâs Worldâ play area and 1st-6th classes will go bowling.
All children will receive a hot lunch in Arena 7.

We had a visit today from local songwriter and musician Patsy Cavanagh.
Through storytelling and song we learned  the plight of the Famine victims of Ireland in the 1800’s.
We also really enjoyed dressing up in the costumes of times gone by….See below photos of the production.
Today the pupils, teachers and the parents came together and dressed up in their brighest attire to take part in Relay for life’s ”Rainbow walk’. Our walk was aptly named “Trek to the North Pole’ !
There has been approximately 130 Euro raised so far…Well done to all involved and thank you for your kind donations. Please see below some of the lovely photos taken on the day…..

Scoil Naomh Padraig Parent’s Association in conjunction with North Pole cycling Club are holding a Cycle /Run/Walk in aid of school funds.
Registration for the days events will be held in the school. Registration for the cycle is opening at 9am and leaving the school @10am.Registration for the walk and run are opening at 10am and leaving the school @ 11am
The cycle will be 45 miles long, The run will be a 10k run and walk is 5k.
Registration fees:
Adults : 10 Euro
Children: 5 Euro
*Refreshments will be served afterwards back at the school.

Congratulations to the children in 2nd class who made their First Communion on Saturday 11th May 2013 in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, Buncrana .We hope you had a lovely day.
